Program Description

Defensa del Viajero sends SMS messages only to people who have contacted our office and affirmatively agreed to receive text communications. Messages may include intake follow-up, appointment reminders, requested MiCaso portal links, document requests, and case-related service updates.

Consent

Consent is obtained verbally during an inbound call initiated by the caller, or through a separate affirmative opt-in on a website form when available. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving legal services.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on the caller’s request or matter, but is typically no more than 4 messages per month.

Costs

Message and data rates may apply.

Opt Out

You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP. After opting out, you will receive one confirmation message and will receive no further SMS messages unless you later opt in again.

Attorney-Client Relationship
